Approximately 2 miles (3 km) southwest of Newquay. The beach is popular with families, National Trust members and it also has lifeguard patrols in the summer.
Parking can be found either end of the beach; by the Bowgy Inn on West Pentire or the National Trust car park towards the Gannel river.
