Directions to Helman Tor: Grid Ref: SX 062 615

 

This wetland reserve is about 2.5 miles south of Bodmin, and 2 miles to the north west of Lostwithiel. The nearest main line train station would be Bodmin Parkway, although St Austell is also nearby. Luxulyan does have its own train station, although the line is not on the mainline, rather a branch line to Newquay.

 

 

If you are travelling by car, access can be found from either;

 

 

• the A30/A391 (Innis Downs) roundabout south of Bodmin (turn north to Lanivet and take the first right under A30 bridge, then take the first left shortly after the bridge)

 

 

• from St Austell, follow the A390 towards Lostwithiel and take the left turn for Lanlivery, take the road past The Crown public house keeping to the left, at the next crossroads go straight over then take the next right and the carpark for Helman Tor will be about 1/2 a mile along this road (on right)
