A Look Into New Jersey Devils’ Jack Hughes Recovery

The New Jersey Devils star Jack Hughes appeared in only two games before he suffered an injury. The team’s center met with Dr. Jonathan L. Glasgow and other team doctors for an injury re-evaluation.

Injury Evaluation

Officials announced during a press release that the dislocated shoulder is now stable and that the player continues with his rehabilitation. He will meet up with the team’s doctors again in five weeks. The New Jersey Devils placed their number one pick in the 2019 draft on their injured reserve list earlier this season because of his dislocated shoulder.

After the accident, the team officials announced that the player would be off the field indefinitely. Fortunately, an MRI scan confirmed that the player did not incur additional damage to his shoulder. The doctors added that he would not need surgery.

Events Surrounding the Injury

The 20-year-old center suffered a shoulder injury during their match against recent rivals, Seattle Kraken. He was in a vulnerable spot when Jeremy Lauzon, a Kraken defenseman, shoved him into the boards. After watching the video, Lindy Ruff, the Devils head coach, stated that he saw that the shove was clean. Landing on his shoulder, however, was what led to the injury.
