Trophy Winner Adam Fox Settles on a Future With the Rangers After Contract Extension 

The Rangers’ management and fans have every reason to smile this season. This is after New York Rangers elite defenseman Adam Fox signed a historic seven-year contract extension. The contract is expected to take the sportsman up to the 2028-2029 season. According to the team’s manager, Fox is set to take home $9.6million per season. The signed deal is worth $66.5million, making him the second-highest defenseman in his team and Rangers’ history.

The Rangers’ president and general manager, Chris Drury has issued a statement on the contract extension. He Commended Adams’ ability and termed his addition to the team as crucial.

Adam Fox is worth the investment as he is Ranger’s cornerstone and maintains a dominant presence. The star garnered 15 goals and 83 assists, accumulating 98 points from the 134 games he played. Additionally, Fox had five goals and 42 assists, thereby registering 47 points. The defenseman has earned nine points in the current nine games for the 2021-22 season, making him the second-best defenseman in the NHL. 

The 23 -year –old Adam Fox was also named the Norris trophy winner and best NHL defenseman after he registered 47 point points out of the 55 games. The prestigious award, which is awarded annually, has only been won twice before the third season by Boston Bruins and Bobby Orr, and now Adam Fox.

Rangers fans are excited that one of their best players will stay to propel the team to greater heights. Adam is the latest under 25year -old player to sign the massive salary package and contract extension in recent months. 

Other players currently enjoying the same privileges include Columbus Blue Jackets’ Zach Werenski($9.5million), Boston Bruins’ Charlie McAvoy($9.5million), Cale Makar of Colorado Avalanche($9 million), Dallas Stars’ Miro Heiskanen($8.45million), and Quinn Hughes of Vancouver Canucks($7.85million). The long-term signing of Fox is the surest way to keep the Rangers rising steadily and unstoppable.
