US Soccer Renews Their Apparel Partnership with Nike

The U.S. Soccer Federation sealed a long-term deal with Nike (NKE.N) on Wednesday. Besides extending their partnership, they plan to promote women’s game profiles inclusively and globally.

U.S. Soccer did not reveal the terms of the deal, describing it as the largest commercial agreement in the history of the national governing body. But, according to multiple media reports, the deal is said to be a 10-year agreement.

This partnership with the athletic shoe and apparel company in Oregon aims on improving all areas of the national team. This includes senior men and women teams, Paralympic, youth, futsal, and beach teams. 

Extended Partnership

The U.S. Soccer Federation chose to extend the partnership as it began in 1995 founded over four pillars. With the pillars, they hope to achieve rapid growth for the game and a positive social change.

The two organizations also have a goal to make a meaningful change. They hope to use content to show sustainability efforts and drive cultural relevance.

According to the news release, U.S. Soccer President Cindy Parlow Cone appreciated Nike for being a positive and long-time partner for U.S. Soccer. He continued to say the company has played a vital role in enhancing the growth of the Federation and supporting the players over the years.

To add to his remarks, Cindy Cone said the partnership will have a positive impact on the future of soccer in the United States. It will provide access to resources that will improve all areas of the federation. In addition, it will also benefit both parties, by helping them achieve the goals they share.
